David Shrum brings over a decade of frontline leadership experience in emergency medical services to his role as an Executive Coach with Transform CXO. As a former Director of Operations, firefighter, paramedic, and registered nurse, David has led teams through high-stakes environments where clarity, resilience, and decisive action were non-negotiable.

Today, he partners with leaders and executives to navigate transitions, unlock their potential, and align their leadership with a deeper sense of purpose and impact.

David is a certified Meta Performance® Executive Coach and founder of Ascend Leadership & Development, where he helps individuals and organizations break through limiting beliefs and build cultures of integrity, growth, and thriving vision. His expertise lies in guiding leaders beyond traditional performance into transformational results that ripple across their teams, businesses, and communities.

Outside of coaching, David enjoys spending time with his wife Kathryn and their three children in Ohio. He has served as a worship leader at his church since 2015 and is passionate about helping people discover who they are truly called to be. Whether hiking in the mountains, sipping tea, or sharing stories of transformation, David finds joy in experiences that inspire growth and connection.
